Since I started doing this kind of thing in the early 90’s I’ve been obsessed, frankly, by the way that software first and then the web got designed by an individual or team of individuals that didn’t consider whoever was going to be using it.
This obsession has led in short hops to a belief that all ‘design spaces’ have to be covered to get it right for the user or customer. So, the form has got to be right (it has be look good, be pleasing, attract), it has to function OK (well, it just has to or its pointless!) and it has to make you feel good … like you want to be there and you’ll make it be good!
So, Form Function Emotion is about covering all design space, and so it has to talk about, design (big word, means something different to everybody) and tech and psychology and information and usability … but it has to focus on no one of these but all of these … to the benefit of the user, customer

So this is my notes on that.
